TRIPP TRAPP® is a sturdy children's chair that grows with your child. It lifts them up so they can be included in activities around the table.

TRIPP TRAPP® Revolution

In 1972, STOKKE™ revolutionized the actual concept of children's chair. This was when designer Peter Opsvik observed how uncomfortable his son Tor was sitting in an ordinary chair. Tor had grown out of his high chair and was now sitting with his feet dangling and his arms still unable to reach the tabletop. For Peter Opsvik the obvious solution was to lift the level of of the chair's "floor." This in turn lifted Tor up to the table so he could rest his elbows on the table while having a stable floor under his feet.

This proved the most natural solution, one that allowed freedom and variation of movement.

Usage



Children can start using TRIPP TRAPP® with babyrail when they can sit unaided (normally the age of 6 to 9 months). Since the chair can be so easily adjusted, there is certainly no reason why it can't be used for longer. In fact, adults can easily sit comfortable in a TRIPP TRAPP®!

To give the child optimal security, TRIPP TRAPP® comes with a 5-point harness.

Life around the table



One of the main ideas behind TRIPP TRAPP® is to bring the child up to the adult table, creating interaction between children and adults. Young children, like adults, prefer to eat with company. If your child is seated at the correct height and has someone to share the meal with, mealtimes will be an enjoyable occasion for her. Eating with a family also helps the child integrate into regular mealtimes as well as learn some of your basic family rules about eating at the table. In addition, children can benefit verbally, socially and learn imitative behavior such as feeding themselves.
